UK Set for Life Odds and Prizes
Find out the odds and prizes for UK Set For Life, including how the annuity payouts work if you win in one of the top two categories.
How You Can Win
To win the jackpot, you must match all five of the main numbers and the Lucky Ball. The payoff is £10,000 a month for 30 years. Unlike other 'For Life' lotteries around the world, there is no lump-sum alternative.
The prize for matching all five main numbers without the Life Ball is £10,000 a month for one year. The remaining prizes are fixed, one-off amounts.

If you win in any of the categories, you will receive the full advertised prize even if there are multiple winners. However, prize capping rules are in place for the top two tiers, which would come into play in very rare circumstances where there are a lot more winners than usual.
There is a maximum prize fund of £16 million for the top prize, so if there were five or more winners each one would receive a reduced amount per month. In this case, there would also be the option to receive a one-off lump sum.
For the second tier, the most that can be paid out in a single draw is £2 million, which would cover 16 winners. If there are more players in the Match 5 category, they would receive a reduced amount every month for one year.
If a Set For Life winner dies before they have received all their money, the rest is given to their estate as a lump-sum payment.
