Claiming Prizes for Daily Grand in Canada

You can only receive your winnings in the same region where you purchased your ticket. While there are 10 provinces and three territories in Canada, there are five lottery commissions that run Daily Grand between them under the umbrella of the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation.

You have one year to claim prizes for Daily Grand, regardless of where you played and the value of your win. Here’s what to do for different prize amounts.

Non ‘For Life’ Prizes

If you win a prize in tiers three to nine, the easiest way to claim it in most cases is simply to take your ticket to a lottery retailer. If they do not have the cash to pay out the prize instantly, you can mail your ticket in to the relevant lottery operator.

Top Two Prizes

For winners of the top two prizes, whether you choose to take the money as an annuity or the cash alternative, you should contact your lottery provider to start the claims process. It is not always necessary to go to a claim center or lottery headquarters that may be located far away, but the operator will be able to guide you through the whole procedure.
