Nebraska 'for Life' History
Nebraska joined the Lucky for Life annuity game in August 2017, giving lottery fans in the state the opportunity to win $1,000 a day for life. Among Nebraska’s big winners was a teacher from Nebraska who landed the second prize of $25,000 a year after playing through the Jackpocket courier app.
Millionaire for Life replaced Lucky for Life in February 2026, helping to raise money for good causes such as education and the environment. Nebraska Lottery Director Brian Rockey said at the time of the launch: “Our players like the opportunity to win for-life prizes, and we think they’ll enjoy playing for the chance to win $1 million a year for their lifetime.”
