How to Play Millionaire for Life in Michigan
To play Millionaire for Life, select five main numbers from 1 to 58 and a Millionaire Ball between 1 and 5. Mark the Easy Pick option to get a random selection. Here are a few more points to consider when you play in Michigan:
- The minimum age to purchase tickets is 18
- You may play the same numbers for up to 30 consecutive drawings
- Ticket sales close at 10:15 PM ET, one hour before the drawing at 11:15 PM ET
- The ‘Replay’ option allows you to hand in an old ticket from the previous 31 days. All the same selections will be reprinted on a new ticket, starting with the next available drawing
When you play online in Michigan, you can also ‘combo’ your numbers. This involves picking more numbers (6 to 10 main numbers). Every combination of numbers will then be generated on your ticket.
To win a prize, you must match at least two of the six numbers that are drawn. You need all six to win the jackpot of $1 million a year for life. Go to the Odds and Prizes page to find out about all the different ways to win.

Michigan 'for Life' History
Michigan was a part of the Lucky for Life annuity game from January 27, 2015. The state was home to several big winners, including Roderick Slaughter from Detroit in February 2021. Slaughter played online and said that he would use the money to retire early, travel more, and establish a legacy fund for his grandchildren’s education.
When Lucky for Life ended on February 21, 2026, Millionaire for Life launched in Michigan and 30 other jurisdictions the very next day. Revenue from ticket sales goes towards helping schools, with around $1 billion going to education every year across all Michigan Lottery games.
