New York 'for Life' History
One of the newest New York draw games, Millionaire for Life was introduced as a replacement to Cash4Life – a game that has been around a long while and retired in February 2026. It was created to appeal to younger players with its exciting ‘for life’ prizes and broader country-wide appeal.
Gaming Commission Chair Brian O’Dwyer has called it “a fantastic addition to the New York Lottery’s collection of entertaining games, all of which offer an exciting array of prize options.” He emphasized its positive focus of raising important aid for public schools in addition to it offering life-changing prizes.
