Claiming UK Set For Life Prizes

Claiming prizes for Set for Life is really easy in Australia, no matter how much you win. However, there are differences depending on where you bought your ticket. Learn more about how to claim prizes, or dividends, for Set for Life.

In Australia, you can either play online or register for player cards which you then use when you buy tickets in-store. Your purchases are linked to your player account, so if you win a prize it can be automatically paid back to you. For larger amounts, the lottery operator will be able to see who has won and contact the lucky players to let them know and guide them through the rest of the claims process.

If you have bought a ticket in-store, it is always a good idea to sign the back of it and add your address. Keep it safe until the draw takes place or until you are ready to come forward if you know you have won a prize.

Here’s what you need to do to claim different prize amounts:

Non-Annuity Prizes

You can claim most prizes from authorised National Lottery retailers. If you win more than £100, for example the Match 4 + Life Ball prize of £250, retailers are not obliged to make payments. It may instead be that you get paid to your debit card, or you’ll have to submit an online claim form. This requires you to enter the serial number and retailer number from your ticket, and upload an image from your ticket.

If you play online, all Set For Life prizes below the top two tiers will be paid out automatically.

Monthly Prizes

If you win one of the top two prizes, you can look forward to receiving monthly payments, either for one year or 30 years. To start the claims process, you just need to call the National Lottery on 0333 234 50 50.

A validation meeting will take place so that all the necessary checks can be completed. The annuity policy will then be set up, with payments made by cheque or bank transfer.

Claim Period

Regardless of how much you win, the claim period for all Set For Life prizes in the UK is 180 days from the date of the winning draw. If you do not come forward in time, the prize money is donated to the Good Causes Fund.
