How to Claim EuroDreams Prizes
If you win a EuroDreams prize, the next step is to receive your money. Find out more about how to claim, depending on how much you have won and where you bought your ticket.
Claiming Prizes
Online players have the advantage of knowing they will always be notified if they win, and the majority of prizes are also paid automatically.
If you buy a ticket in-store, make sure to sign the back of it and keep it safe. You can then come forward when you are ready to pick up your winnings. All prizes must be claimed in the same country where the ticket was sold.
Prize Tiers 3 to 6
The easiest way to claim a prize below the top two tiers is to visit an authorised retailer. Most prizes in these categories are worth under €100 so there are very few issues for retailers with cashing out. It is also possible to claim prizes by mail or at regional claim offices.
Monthly Prizes
If you win the jackpot or the second prize, you can look forward to receiving monthly payments for a long period of time. To claim one of these prizes, you will need to contact the relevant national lottery to start the claims process, arranging a visit to the lottery’s headquarters.
You will have to provide documentation, for example, photo ID such as a passport, and complete a claim form. The addresses and contact details of the national lotteries are shown in the table below.

Claim Periods
The following table shows how long you have to claim in each of the participating countries. You can’t claim a prize somewhere else – for example, if you win in France, you must claim your prize from the French National Lottery.
Country | Claim Period |
---|---|
Austria | 3 years |
Belgium | 20 weeks |
France | 60 days |
Ireland | 90 days |
Luxembourg | 60 days |
Portugal | 90 days |
Spain | 3 months |
Switzerland | 180 days |
Taxes
There are only three countries where lottery prizes are taxed. In Switzerland, any winnings worth more than one million Swiss francs are taxed at a rate of 35 percent. In Spain, the withholding rate is 20 percent and that is applied to prizes of more than €40,000, while Portuguese players are taxed 5 percent on prizes over €5,000.
If you win a EuroDreams prize in any of these countries, it is a good idea to speak to a financial adviser or tax expert.
