Cash 4 Life has now ended!

Cash 4 Life has officially come to an end and has been replaced by the new Millionaire for Life game. Millionaire for Life combines the former Cash 4 Life and Lucky for Life formats into one multi-state annuity-style lottery across the USA. Instead of $1,000 per day for life, the new top prize is $1,000,000 per year for life, along with a refreshed prize structure and slightly different ball matrix. What are the draw days and times?

Cash4Life drawings take place daily at 9:00 p.m. ET.

When do ticket sales close?

Ticket sales cut off at different times in the participating states, but in most cases it is at 8:30 p.m. or 8:45 p.m.

Which states sell Cash4Life tickets?

There are currently 10 states where you can buy Cash4Life tickets. Go to the Participating States page to find out all the locations.

How do I play?

To play Cash4Life, start by selecting six main numbers from 1 to 60 and a Cash Ball from 1 to 4. Take a look at the How to Play page for more information.

What does it cost to play?

It costs $2 per line to play Cash4Life.

What is the minimum age to play?

You must be at least 18 to buy tickets in all the participating states.

What prizes can I win?

There are various prizes you can win in Cash4Life, depending on how many of the winning numbers you match. If you match all of them, you win the jackpot of $1,000 a day for life. The second prize is also worth $1,000 a week for life.

Are prizes really for life?

Yes, the top two prizes are paid out for the rest of the winner’s lifetime. They are paid out annually rather than daily or weekly. There is also a guaranteed payout time of 20 years, so if a winner dies before this time the rest of the money will go to their family.

Is there a cash option?

If you win the top prize, you can choose to take a lump sum of $7 million rather than the annuity option. There is also a cash alternative for winners in the second tier. Go to the Cash vs Annuity page to learn more.

What happens if more than one player wins?

If more than one player wins the top prize, it is split between them. In the very unlikely event that 15 or more players win, the annuity option will not be offered.

Does the jackpot roll if nobody wins?

No, it remains fixed at the same value in every draw.

What are the odds of winning?

Your overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 8, while the odds of landing the jackpot are 1 in 21,846,048.

How do I claim a prize?

You can claim prizes from authorized retailers, by mail, or by visiting a lottery claim center, depending on how much you win. However, you can only claim in the same state where you purchased your ticket. Go to the Claiming Prizes page for more details.
