Lucky for Life has officially come to an end and has been replaced by the new Millionaire for Life game. Millionaire for Life combines the former Cash 4 Life and Lucky for Life formats into one multi-state annuity-style lottery across the USA. Instead of $1,000 per day for life, the new top prize is $1,000,000 per year for life, along with a refreshed prize structure and slightly different ball matrix. How You Can Win

To win the top prize, you must match all five main numbers and the Lucky Ball. This will reward you with $1,000 a day for the rest of your lifetime (paid out as $365,000 once a year).

Even if you miss out on the Lucky Ball, you can win $25,000 a year for life by matching the five main numbers.

Both these top prizes also have a lump-sum option, and if there are an unusually high number of winners in a particular draw, the amounts may be reduced. Find out more on thea Cash vs Annuity page.

The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 7.8, while your chances of landing the jackpot are far better than for other multi-state lotteries such as Powerball and Mega Millions.

The minimum duration of lifetime prizes is 20 years, so payments will continue to be made to a winner’s estate if they die sooner.

In most locations, you have 60 days from the date you claim your prize in which to decide whether to take the annuity payments or the lump sum. If you don’t request the cash option within this time, you’ll receive the payments for life.
